Customer Reviews:
It's Alright.......2004-07-23
An okay CD. "So I Got To Groove" is a great song. It's better live though. I'm not sure if I recommend this CD or not. Probably not, but it's not a BAD cd. Just not very good.
Tower of power does it again.......2000-10-04
Tower of power does it again with their tight rhythm section. " So I got to Groove " is for sure a soul/funk workout. " unconditional love " sets the mood just right. but the highlight of the whole cd, is the soulful " it really doesn't matter " it is sure to take T.O.P fans back to the old school. Nice job T.O.P, we will be looking for more!
This CD is fantastic!!!!!!!!!!.......1999-07-01
By far the funkiest Tower of Power to date. I hear a lot of James Brown influence. They sound better that ever!
Nobody does SOUL like the BOYS form the BAY! Great CD!.......1999-02-05
The song 'So I Got to Groove' is in the zone, like getting 2 songs for the price of 1. People in long time relationships will really love 'It Really Doesn't Matter'. The lead vocalist, Brent Carter, really shines on 'Unconditional Love'. Just loved it!
The world's best "horn band" is still the best!.......1999-01-15
The latest from TOP captures the band is a classic soul setting. In a very positive sense, this a "back to basics" effort. This is not retro; it is capturing the soulful funky sound that is truly timeless. Singer Brent Carter is in top form, crooning and belting the tunes of founders Steve "Doc" Kupka and Emillio Castillo. I dare you to sit still listening to "East Bay Way"!
