Customer Reviews:
Sax Man at his best.......2007-01-02
One of best friends got me hooked on Kim Waters after letting me hear his Someone To Love CD. With his 2001 From The Heart CD release, Kim offered up more of the sensual jazz sounds his fan love. Kim Waters is accompanied by Jazz from Dru Hill on a cover of The Spinner's classic Love Don't Love Nobody which is one of the best songs on the album. Other noteable selections include Until Dawn and Sweet Desire.
And from the SOUL!!!.......2005-04-30
Kim Waters has one of the most irrestible sounds in the smooth jazz genre. Destined to be very big, Kim brings his live audiences to their feet because he clearly loves his artistry.
"Until Dawn" is a gorgeous, relaxing song with Kim on soprano sax and Chuck Loeb on guitar. "Slow Role" has sultry sax tones with a sexy edginess. "In The House" is a funky exchange between Kim's sax and Chuck Loeb's guitar. The driving beat is hot and Kim's sax is searing! "Love Don't Love Nobody" is a tribute to one of the great soul songs of the 70's. The title song "From The Heart" is purely just that. It simply must be experienced for it's pure beautiful sound. "Sweet Desire" smoulders with that sweet sax! Gorgeous and infectious!
Occasionally there are those who try to compare Kim Waters to Kenny G. As for me, I think it must have been the morning that Kenny woke up and found himself at his soulful best. The comparison however, is unfair. This cd has some of Kim's more smoother, mellower sounds. If this is what your heart desires, then look no further. This one is it!
go kim go kim.......2004-02-19

From The Heart.......2003-08-31
This was my first encounter with Kim Waters but definitely NOT my last! I luv this CD.
Kim's best project to date........2003-07-16
Kim has recorded a number of fine and very mellow smooth jazz sax albums that are interesting but sometimes lacklustre. This CD is his best to date and has many good songs and very strong production values.
