Tim Warfield gets overlooked when people discuss the talented Tenors in this post bop modern era. The compositions, the cast, along with the caliber of the music is refreshingly credible and not copied. Warfield has his own voice rooted in ground of Wayne Shorter and watered by the lyricism of Sonny Rollins. This is a great CD to add to your collection.
