Customer Reviews:
Excellent CD.......2002-08-02
Great contemporary jazz. Wonderful production quality and compositions, played well by all. I highly recommend this one to contemporary and/or smooth jazz lovers as well as his other one called, "Let's Get Started".
His best release yet!!!!!!!.......2001-04-15
I was introduced to GOTA from an acid jazz compliation a few years ago. After hearing his "chillin children" cut I scrambled to find any GOTA tracks that I could find. This release is very good. Tight percussion, perfectly arranged horns and wide grooves from begining to end. If you are looking for vocals GOTA is not for you. Bouncy, jumping, melodic grooves, now that is GOTA. If you buy only one acid jazz cd this year make it this one.
Best smooth jazz oriented sound since the beginning of 2001........2001-02-19
It is now Feburary 28, 2001 and this is the best smooth jazz orient sound since the beginning of this year. The music is a culmination of perhaps 100 different styles of different artist in every genre from soul, R&B, pop and jazz. This culminates into a highly creative smooth jazz CD. Its as though several different musicians got together and produced a killer CD. (Remember the first "Four Play" CD?) If you like smooth jazz or anything resembling soul or R&B, pop or traditional jazz, you'll like this sound. The only thing I would change is the song arrangements. I really liked 8 out of 11 of these compositions. If you can program those 8 in your CD player you can create an exciting sound for yourself and others.
