Customer Reviews:
This is a pretty good album........2006-11-13
I ordered this CD along with "INSIDE LIFE" and now only have about 4 more Incognito albums ("NO TIME LIKE THE FUTURE," "LIFE STRANGER THAN FICTION," "LIVE IN TOKYO," and "REMIXED") to go before the collection is finally complete. As a whole, "WHO NEEDS LOVE" is a pretty good album which has a fair amount of songs which is guaranteed to stick to the ribs of anyone who listens to it. A few of these include "Morning Sun," "Can't Get You Out of My Head," (both versions), "Stone Cold Heart," the background of which almost sounds identical to that of the "100 AND RISING" song "Barumba," and we'll say the titular track, "Who Needs Love."
A good deal of the material on here is something of a mixture: smooth, upbeat, relaxing, and fast-moving. It is fun to listen to all the different instruments and things as well as the leading vocals throughout the majority of the tracks headed by Joy Rose and Kelli Sae. This album may not feature Maysa Leak, who is usually found on most of the band's albums released after "INSIDE LIFE", but then again, neither did "100 AND RISING" and that was an outstanding album.
I would definitely recommend this album to anyone who is fan of this band or this genre of music. Something about it reminds me of why I became a fan of both.
The KAB score: 9.2 excellent.
MUST HAVE .......2006-08-31
IF YOU LOVE ICOGNITO THIS CD IS A MUST. STRONG AND HARMONIOUS VOCALS AND AN INCREDIBLE STUDIO BAND BLAZES ON EVERY TRACK .
better than some of their other albums.......2005-07-03
I used to like Incognito with their early hits and album, but then lost interest, because the albums didn't convince me anymore. After a longer pause, I tried this one and it is really nice and mellow with the wonderful voice of JOY ROSE who should have a solo record too !:) Very good choice :) Kelli Sae is on it too. It's Incognito as you know it - one of their better albums though.
Maysa or not-- this is a great CD !.......2005-05-16
I would say every bit as good as any of their past albums--- and I have them all !Great summertime listening !
Flat as a flippin pancake.......2004-12-19
What happened to this one ... hows come is sounds so dead. Awful production. Someone pressed the 'suck all the life of it' button. I've noticed this on the occasional Incognito recordings before. Some releases are really bright and sharply recorded and produced, but this isnt one of them. It is not a Cd that will flatter your hifi - in fact the opposite. Its makes your nice posh system sound like a rank old bit of kit. Skip it. Poor. Next.
