He's wonderful. I love the African feel, it takes me there, although I never been. Beautiful!

5 out of 5 stars His guitar, voice, rhythm - it's all just perfect.......2005-03-23

Sometimes even my favorite artists will put out a cd and it will slip past me and take me a while to find it. This one was released in 2002 and has been waiting for me to enjoy it for 3 years. Jonathan Butler shows once again how his musical mastery is ever evolving but he never strays from that rhythmic, jazzy, bluesy guitar.

The African/Brazilian influence is subtle but effective. I think my favorites are "Pata Pata" and "Take Me Back" but I love the wind instruments in "African Moon." Always makes me feel so privileged to find something I love that I missed right out of the gate and wasn't looking for but am thrilled to finally find.

5 out of 5 stars Jonathan does it again.......2004-01-30

This c.d is one of the greatest! The songs are arranged so beautifully and the lyrics are touching. "Thoughts Of You" is a lovely ballad and one of my favorites. The whole album is just easy to listen to and you can listen through the entire thing without skipping through any of the tracks which is a rare find. I am very pleased with this work of Jonathan Butler's and I look forward to a lot more of his music.

4 out of 5 stars Good but not the best.......2003-09-09

This is the newest Butler CD. His soul is still being bared, and hes still doing the music we love him for. this record is a tad more rootsy and bluesy. His african roots are more in depth.
it is, just a touch boring, which makes it harder to hear it. I still love it, and recommend it too! Rock on JB, Rock On
