Customer Reviews:
BEAUTIFUL!!!.......2004-03-24
Roland Dyens is a pure genius. Not only does he play and compose classical, Latin American and French music, he also is a master in the jazz genre. His arrangements are beyond anyone could imagine and he turns simple songs like "Over the Rainbow" into virtuoso magical creations. I love the percussion he used in the background on some of the pieces, but wish he had used more. Maybe adding a snare drum and bass? When he plays "Back to Tunisia", he uses his hands and fingers against the body of the guitar, which gives it an "African jungle" quality. Please record more jazz Maestro Dyens! Bravo!
