Not a bad CD. Nice & Mellow to listen to, great for those rainy days or spending time with your sweetie.

Why The Rush Foreplay??.......2006-01-04

Although, this CD contains a lot of their best songs...I already owned the first three CD's by them. This has a few new songs on it. But, still I ask myself...why the rush foreplay? I don't think that the three additional songs warrant the purchase of this for me. But, those that are unfamiliar with their music will be able to give a good listen to their smooth jazz sounds.

This ensemble has always had a very special rapport to show you. The jewels of the crown are 101 Eastbound and Bali run but there are interesting pieces such as Amoroso, Max-O-Man, Play, lady play

It is remarkable to underscore this is not essentially, the absolutely best of Fourplay. There are many others works that deserved to be included and for one or other reason are absent.

Anyway, this is a worthy selection that works out adequately for any pleasant meeting with your closest friends. It is a rewarding choice that it will never let you down.

Loved it! I heard a couple of cuts at a friends house. I am so glad I bought it. Easy listening, with a good beat.

The Best of Fourplay is a collection of what is considered to be the band's greatest songs. The songs on this album come from their original album (1991) all the way up to Elixir (1995). It also includes three songs exclusive to this album, namely "4 Play and Pleasure", "Higher Ground", and "Any Time of Day." The fact that it includes these songs, which I thoroughly enjoyed, makes up for the fact that a few of the songs have been condensed from their original album presentations; those songs being "After the Dance," "Between the Sheets," and "Why Can't It Wait Till Morning."

The songs on this album are just as euphonious as they were on their original albums, and for that, "The Best of Fourplay" comes exceedingly close to being five stars. I only wished that they had included the songs "Magic Carpet Ride" or "Once in the AM", because those were, in my opinion, some of the greatest songs that they had ever made. Other than that, if you're a fan of Fourplay or smooth jazz, then this album is a definitive buy.
