This is trance muzak for those who don't care to hear anything remotely resembling creative art. If you need something to sleep to - highly recommended.

Best Of The Weather Channel.......2006-08-02

I first heard this music on The Weather Channel, and it was one of the sole reasons I watched TWC almost religiously...AS A 10 YEAR OLD!

I found it at a neighbor's yard sale, thinking it was a cheap bargain, and the minute I popped it in, all the memories came back to me.

I'm not a fan of Kenny G, but I love this CD, particularly "End Of The Night," my favorite Kenny G track of all time.

Born Kenneth Gorelick, Kenny G is probably the best known American saxophonist. He rose to fame in the 1980s, and has gone places no other jazz musician has gone - in 2003, Kenny G was named the 25th-highest selling artist in America by the RIAA! Some dislike what he has done in the name of jazz, but it is hard to argue with success.

In fact, I love the smooth sound of Kenny G, and like this album immensely. Probably my favorite song on the album is his wonderful Forever In Love. Overall, I think that this is a great album. If you like the smooth jazzy sound of Kenny G, you'll like this CD. I highly recommend it!

I love this cd. The first cut, "Joy of Life" truly lives up to it's name-pure joy. Love it.

Kenny G: The Greatest Musician in the World?.......2005-06-02

I was told by a relative this man was the greatest musician in the world because he can hold a note longer than anyone else. Well, if that's true, I am not sure that makes him necessarily "musical." All I can tell you is that his "bleating" and "whining" kazoo-like tenor sax is sure to annoy anyone with a real ear for music. This album is accurately named since it does take your breath away and prevent the listener from taking a mental breath with the musician. His "improvisations" nearly all identical in texture and pattern are perfectly suited to the grocery stores, dental offices and shopping malls his tunes are mostly heard, since you can only take this music in little doses. I will say that he does wisely choose first class arrangers and back up musicians to accompany him, but that screechy sax the glamourous Kenny plays is nothing more than ego, vanity and hype. How this delicate looking character with his abrasive instrument became popular is beyond all logic.
