4 out of 5 stars Captivating Gipsy Music from Russia.......2001-02-14

This album is a nice sample of Russian gipsy music. It has the kind of passion the gipsy stories have. Russian gipsy music, however, differs from e.g. Spanish gipsy music (see Gipsy Kings) in that it has more influences from the Russian melancholy, but also from the Russian passion. Along with this CD, I recommend the soundtrack of one of the most beautiful Russian Gipsy movies "Tabor uhodit v nebo" (translates somewhat like "Gipsy Camp Moves To Heaven").
