A decent value-priced CD.......2000-12-28
This CD, while a decent value for the money, is plagued by an inconsistancy in the quality of the recordings. In general, the selections by the Clan Sutherland band and the Pride of Murray are excellent, while those performed by the Queen's Royal Pipers sound muddy and a little out-of-tune. The selections by the other bands are somewhere in the middle. Still, the CD is much better than most of the really, really cheap pipe band recordings.
(CD's featuring the Clan Sutherland and the Pride of Murray pipe bands are available from this same studio, for just a few dollars more, and are superb!)
