Take 3 masters of musical styles from around the world and what do you get - something great! This album has cuts from all over the globe and some of the pieces combine styles from locations that have had no cultural contact. Some of my favorites: the Glenn Miller tune played on Northumbrian smallpipes, Cambodian tro and harpsichord. You can dance to it. And my number one fav: Sarai Ondaet, an ancient monodic Cambodian piece that moves along and then is slowly superimposed over a blues pattern. It meshes perfectly. The musicians have a good sense of humor that is never disrespectful. I wish there were more out there like this one.
