This is a really good CD.......2006-08-05

I really didn't know what to expect when I purchased this CD, but needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised. This is a REALLY good CD. Ms. Benson is right up there with jill scott, angie stone, bridgette mcwilliams and others. if you like neosoul, sade, vivian green, goapele and others, you'll definitely like this CD. I played it for several friends and EVERYONE asked "who is that?" "it's nice!" This is a very listenable CD, great to play when entertaining folks, or when you just want to sit back relax and enjoy a mojito or two! (smile) Definitely a "go and buy" recommendation.

I read some reviews before listened to the CD,so I didn't have a high expectation,but Rhian gave me a HUGE SURPRISE...I know her voice is different,it's not a shortcoming but an unique feature...When I am tired of a lot of screechy singers, Rhian's voice gives me a deep and great impression...If I must have a selection of favorite one track ,maybe I choose Stealing My Peace of Mind, but in fact I love all of them...

Rhian Benson is one who will keep you wanting more. She has a style that cannot be defined or copied. After seeing her video, I wanted more because the soft funky beats. Finally I bought her album and have listened to it as if is going out of style. Her songs are profound and sung with such variation that one may not always be able to pinpoint her voice.
Rhian really did well on this album therefore I await the next one to come.

I remembered reading about her in 2003 and I just bought her album week before last. I don't know what people have against her voice, it's not the greatest, but it's very different. I like it, it's not annoying and screechy like a lot of current artist's voices are. I love the music on this album. Her lyrics are intuitive and have depth to them. At least she varies her subject matter unlike a lot of current artists today do. All I say is open your mind and appreciate her album for what it is and don't compare it to anyone else's.
