Estamos Ai is pure joy from beginning to end. Leny has a wonderfully rich, warm tone to match what simply has to be Eumir Deodato's finest moment as arranger. In fact, if you want to hear vintage Deodato, forget all that rocky Strauss stuff and look no further than this excellent Bossa Nova classic. If you are a fan of smooth, lush 60's sophisticated brazilian bossa nova, this album is an undisputed must!

Leny Andrade is vocal Bossa Nova in itself.

She began her career in the final 50s and engaged all important Bossa Nova groups from then on.

Always backed by the best musicians because she herself is a brilliant musician. BTW, Musicians are a critical item when appreciating this album. There are sensational incredible arrangements by Mr. Eumir Deodato.

The repertoire is a bunch of Bossa Nova standards - maybe not those worldly known but certainly those typical 'musicians' choice'. A greater swinger, you know?!

The title song was a big instrumental hit as composed by famous Durval Ferreira. Ms. Andrade's rendition was the original one with lyrics by Regina Werneck. She also "plays" a sensational scat singing which became historical and famous.
