SHIAN is Koshi Inaba (vocalist/ lyricist of B'z, Japan's #1 Rock Band) second solo album in 5 years. The first one, MAGMA was released back in 1997 and received a enthusiastic response from fans and music critics alike. With all songs, lyrics and arrangement done by Koshi himself, his solo works have definite different flair from B'z (you can easily tell that Tak Matsumoto has nothing to do with them). Most of the time, the songs are darker and moodier, with blues, jazz, funk and of course rock blended in together.

As critics raved for MAGMA, they also raved for SHIAN. 5 years in writing, SHIAN exposed a more musically matured Koshi Inaba. He played accoustic & electric guitar, sitar, blues-harp, sky-censor. Memorable songs are O.No.Re (blues-harp action), Touch (waltz+rock!), Trash (sky censor), GO, Famiresu Gozen 3-ji (accoustic guitar only), Honno, Seno de Revolution. And of course, his lyrics are wonderful.

Whether you are B'z fan or not, if you want an Japanese rock-album with fantastic vocal, skillful song and lyrics-writing, SHIAN is a winner!
