4-track, lo-fi, glissy pop with a raw sound..........2005-03-02

Scott Cortez is a musician that has some very different ideas of music and what it should comprise. Just take a look at lovesliescrushing. Guitar sheets that hammer and soothe while seductive female voice dives in and out, sometimes comprehendible, sometimes sublimely wordless. After ending that project, we are presented with many different acts: sohn, polykrome, vir, and Astrobrite to name a few. Astrobrite takes influences such as the core MBV, some elements of a punkier Ride, as well as the spacey feel of today's post-rock, throws it in a 4-track blender, and concocts an album that is hard to beat.
