Marimba groove.......2002-06-13

South African music is not usually associated with the marimba instrument. The marimba (a simple wooden xylophone)is usually heard from the West Coast of Africa - where it is one of the major traditional instruments.
This CD shows that the marimba is also a part of South African music. The use of marimbas of different pitches is effective - this we get the marimbas playing the bass part, the rhythem part and the lead, and the sound is good.
