5 out of 5 stars My 1st Fela CD.......2006-03-07

I approached this CD as a fan of Soft Machine, early-Funkadelic, King Tubby, Talking Heads (& David Byrne), electric Miles Davis and early-Frank Zappa. I was completely blown-away.
The percussion-heavy jazz of the 1st 2 tracks had me floored. The FUNK of "Kalakuta Show" had me jumping for joy.
This CD has not left my car since I got it, and I suspect the only thing that will dislodge it will be my next Fela purchase.
I'm hooked!
