The maestro at his all time best!! Bhimsenji like his counterparts, Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, Gangubai Hangal, Ustad Aamir Khan has been instrumental in making sure that we get the best of Kirana Gharana. Raag Megh (Jhaptal) is a soothing composition delivered in the traditional style that will simply leave you spellbound. The vibrant shades of the rainy season painted, mellifluously by the most cherished voice of the Indian subcontinent. A must buy for even those who are discovering the nuances of Hindustani.
Vocal Pyrotechnics.......2001-06-17
Acceptable but not great recording quality... that's the closest I can come to a complaint about this overwhelming vocalist! The vocal technique of this artist is like nothing I have ever heard in my life. The music starts slowly enough, but often builds into these impossibly difficult and dizzyingly fast vocal pyrotechnics, expressing over-the-edge divine ecstasy.
