I think that Mafikizolo are really talented most of their songs just stand out.I like Ndihamba Nawe it's a classic and it's the kind of song you can listen to everyday and never get bored.I would recommend this to anyone you should also get Mandoza

The Sound of South Africa.......2005-01-02

Kwaito didn't mean a thing to me until I heard two of the songs on this album on the radio while driving through KwaZulu-Natal. Brilliant rhythm, gorgious voices - I love it!!!

Classy and Fun Dance CD.......2004-10-22

I fell in love with my wife (back then she wasn't my wife yet) when she played this CD for me, particularly with the second song. This is a magical and exciting CD where not one song sound alike. I may not understand the lyrics, but my heart beats for this soulful and fun CD. I highly recommed it, but beware--I am highly biased when it comes to Sibongile. Two days later, I asked her to marry me. So, if you're in love with a woman from Africa--I have no complaints--then I think you've got to have this.

Kwaito.......2004-08-11

I bought this C.D. when I was in South Africa this past summer (2004) while I was there for a journey/ experience... and the catchy jazz influenced Kwaito CD has burned itself onto the soundtrack of South Africa. Though they proclaim that Kwaito is hip/hop and rap influenced, the remnants of jazz, drums, tribal and african creativity are what bring this cd to a level of enjoyment. I do admit that I got tired of listening to it after the summer rolled around.. but then again I only had their 2 cd's and Will Young. JOKES>

Though I understand no ZULU that they are singing, I spoke to someone while i was there, and she gave me the idea for track 2, Ndihambe Nawe. Something along the lines of Brother, Brother something.... have hope in the tomorrow that life will become better... i could be wrong.

While I was there, this CD was VERY popular despite the released sophomore album, which I would recommend even more.
The songs are catchy and make great tunes for a running mix on a bright Michigan Summer.

If you enjoy eclectic world music and can tolerate forking out a 20 fir the CD then keep the group alive.. Buy the cd. Enjoy it and thank me later.

Flippin Marvellous!!!.......2004-07-11

I bought this in Durban after a 3 month volunteering project where I heard nothing but Mafikizolo on the radio and playing from windows etc etc!

Unfortunately one of the members was shot in Johannesburg while I was in the country, I only hope that despite the sadness, this is not the end for the band.

Just a totally joyful cd!
