5 out of 5 stars Down to Earth, Yet Exotic.......2002-05-16

Although most of the songs and airs on the album are well-known standards to the lover of traditional celtic music, Sasha's strong yet hushed voice and slightly exaggerated playing style add a sense of the mystery to the music that so well reflect the misty hills and lochs of Scotland and the enigmatic nature of the folk-tales underlying some of the songs.
It is a shame Sasha was taken from the world of the living before she could actually finish her second CD.

Sasha MacKenzie, Clan harper for the MacKenzie clan, did a beautiful job of combining her harpistry and vocal skills on this wonderful album. It's only a pity she hasn't recorded more. It's truly a beautiful recording. My only criticisms would be that, for a modern audience, some of her ballads may drag on a bit. Everyone interested in Celtic music or the harp should get, and enjoy, this recording.
