5 out of 5 stars Superb Neo-Classical Metal From the Unknown.......2005-06-23

The talented group of Galneryus stormed into metal with this release, showing that what the Japanese do, they do extremely well. Everything blends perfectly, from Syu's majestic solos to Yuhki's piano arrangements. Yama-B's vocals are just damn good. He has a great vocal range and shows it all throughout this album. This album is one that can't be skipped through from track-to-track. There are absolutely no fillers to be found in this album. I really wish I knew where these guys came from, but beside a few side-projects that some of the members take part in, none of them appear to have a history in metal, but these guys are right up there with the metal legends.

I have never heard a band explode with such fury and greatness with the release of their first album but Galneryus blew away all critics. I really hate to list recommended tracks since everything is superb, but I will force myself to list a couple of ones that I've taken a strong liking too:

Struggle For The Freedom Flag
In The Delight
Requiem
Holding The Broken Wings

5 out of 5 stars Power metal for the new generation.......2005-02-10

The first thing you need to do when you pick this album up (why bother? Ill get to that.) is listen to it from beginning to end. I guarantee after one listen, you will be hooked for life.

Galneryus, a band inspired by X, the creators of visual rock in Japan, are a band that infuse power, speed, harmonics, and ballads into their songs in a seamless wirework of power metal goodness. No one is sure where the hell they came from, but they were handing out a$$e$ when they got here. The singer has a massive vocal range, from powerful to vice, and the guitar solos are some of the best ive ever heard in my life. The three most prominent songs in the cd, Beyond Of The Ground, Struggle for the Freedom Flag, and In the Delight are an insanely complex mix of different styles, all combining into a harmonic power metal mix that never ceases to astound. Many of the more ignored songs, Child Of Free, and Holding the broken wings, are slower, yet still very powerful, (and two of my favorites) and there are some ballads in the mix as well here, to keep things fresh. I fully recommend this excellent cd.
