Each time I think that Gino cannot top his previous CD, he does just that. The few new cuts on this CD are superb, and the new renditions of his old songs are wonderfully done in a smooth jazz style. Age has only hightened the quality of his voice. It melts me more with each succeeding CD..

Gino Paoli starts his second millenium of activity in the Italian Music with this album that put togheter his greatest success played live with a complete orchestra !!! His voice is not anymore the voice that sang Sapore di Sale in the 60's, but too many cigarettes and night spent singing has not cancelled the magic of his incredible love songs. The CD starts with "Una lunga storia d'amore", and that is just enough for the price of the CD. The only thing is that some arrangements could be a just more clever or azzardous, but someone could think that this kind of songs are untouchables. Thanks Gino, but we are even waiting for your new songs.
