I would like to echo the thoughts of the other reviewer on this CD.

Amongst my various didg CD's I don't have any other Mark Atkins, so I have to be fair and assume that he is a very able musician but this truly is THE worst album of its kind.

I am an improving didgeridoo player, and frequenlty buy this type of CD as a source of reference, to get ideas for new rhythms, techniques and playing styles etc and thus, this was why I bought this album.

If any one else is considering purchasing this album for the same reason.....DON'T!!!! You will learn absolutely nothing. I thought sometimes my playing was going round in circles and achieving nothing......I was wrong!!!

This is 52 minutes of uninterrupted didgeredoo playing. There is no other instrumental accompaniment, just the one didgeredoo. After about 5 minutes of listening it gets monotonous and boring. This is a CD you really MUST listen to before you buy. I work in a CD store in the Northern Territory of Australia and I am always getting asked by mainly German and American tourists for didgeredoo music, just plain didgeredoo music. However once they've listened they most agree that it wasn't what they were expecting. Didgeredoo music can be lovely to listen to and Mark Atkins can certainly play extremely well, however listening to this CD can be tedious. This CD is very much background music, not really to be listened to, because to do so would be to quickly loose intrest in it and replacing it with a more upbeat CD. To give Mark Atkins his due, didgeredoo playing is very hard and one can only marvel that he can play for so long and not tire. Also being an Australian from the northern part I have been over exposed to didgeredoo music and the like and it just doesn't hold the same mystery and appeal it does for people from different countries or cultures. So when you are contemplating buying this album you should try to remember someone playing a didgeredoo, then imagine the same basic noise, tone and rythm being played over and over for 52 minutes then ask yourself do you really want something that's just the didgeredoo or would you prefer something more upbeat and something that doesn't run for quite as long and has more than one track.
