I stumbled upon the review of the first volume of this series while looking for something else and was intrigued by the reviewers descriptions and comments on that disc, so I ordered this one titled Encore. Very interesting and cool stuff that would definitely appeal to fans of Exotica , Big Band , Sweet bands and Hawaiian music of the forties and fifties. Various singers featured who are all very good with soloists playing sweet major and pentatonic flavored music on alto sax or trumpet with exotic percussion and a small big band backing that also has a tinge of folk music strains in there too. A tasty musical stew that is appealing from fine folks at the Cord International label who put it out. Recommended
