Customer Reviews:
You will positively LOVE this CD!.......2005-10-19
There are various sites on the web that allow you to listen to portions of the CD. I actually LEARNED the spanish alphabet from listening to a sample of the song on the internet. I found myself coming back to it until I had to buy it! Now I've found it's very easy to teach the phrases and vocabualry to a small child even without prior knowledge of spanish. (I certainly don't have any).
I love the way her daughter repeats after her. It really helps you remember. It is an absolutley delightful CD. I'm certain you will not be disappointed in your purchase. I bought a lot of stuff out there in my quest to teach foreign language and have been sorely disappointed most of the time. (My husband just chuckles now. It's become a joke.) But not with this CD. My kids and I love it and we play it all the time.
Don't buy this CD.......2005-04-20
I would not recommend this CD to anyone. The songs are boring and it seems very "homemade"- not professionally done at all. I teach Spanish to preschoolers and this CD never even made it into the classroom. The kids love the Sesame Street Fiesta Songs and the Doble De Amigos CDs that I bought. This cannot compare to the catchy tunes and funny lyrics on those CDs.
The BEST Spanish cd for kids!.......2003-04-09
This CD is so excellent! I have already recommended it to all of my friends who want to introduce Spanish to their kids. Some Spanish song cd's say a whole verse in Spanish, then repeat it in English, so it is really hard to learn what words mean what... but these songs say just a few words in Spanish, then repeat them in English, all while being part of the really catchy, not-dorky, songs. It is so easy to learn the Spanish words this way and what they mean. Also, all of the words to the songs are included. The songs cover so many great basic topics too; alphabet letters, and later the sounds that each letter makes, counting: first 1-10, then to 20, then by tens, and by hundreds, telling time, colors, common greetings, zoo animals, etc. Once these songs are in your head, you won't be able to stop singing them...and I mean this in a good way - they are that catchy and fun! She will be putting another cd out soon, and I will definitely buy it. I have not found anything else even close to this great for introducing Spanish to my kids. Highly Recommended!
