But now I absolutely love this CD. Be sure to get the Best Buy edition if you can. They have three bonus tracks (circuit city only has 1) and the song SLOWDOWN is HOTTT!!! This song is storytelling at it's best. I haven't seen a story so visual from listening to a song since the whole R. Kelly "In the Closet" series. Also the bonus track RIDETHROUGH is pretty tight as well. This is definitely a different, less experimental album from him and that's why I think it took some time for me to get into the CD. I didn't like "Buddy" right off the bat and still didn't care for it much until I heard him perform it last week in concert.

Standout tracks here are: Millionaire (clever lyrics and just a great song), Today (beautiful love song..wedding song even), Teachme (men listen up), MsPhilidelphia (him and NeYo did a good job on this), Takeyouthere (classic R&B...reminds me of Marvin Gaye), Greatestlove (just a beautiful song..love the harmonizing at the beginning)...Overall this is a great album once you really listen to it a few times and listen to the lyrics and the instrumentation.

I cannot sing if my life depended on it, but he just makes me want to sing along with his lyrics everytime I hear his soft/ relaxing voice. Where has he been at? He's is like my favorite singer, I have never heard a song of his that I didn't fall totally 100% in love with. Its so hard to listen to his songs because I love them all and I can never decide which song/cd I want to listen to. He is so real, its like I am in tune with him. The music is so real, its real things we all want to hear about. LOVE/LIFE!!! Even though, i'm single at the moment I don't be feeling all sad when he's singing those lovey dubey/ relationship songs. It just makes me imagine when I get a boyfriend/husband how great it'd be to listen to those songs with or even role play out the song..(if you know what I mean)!!! He has mixed the Luvanmusiq cd with upbeat tracks as well as the slow jams. I promise you, You won't be disappointed. My favorite song??? Um I love them all, but the song "teach me" and track number seven is stuck in my head right now...I forgot what its called..I could just listen to his musiq forever.. Currently, Im trying to burn all of his songs from every cd onto just one cd or two, so I could just listen to them over and over without switching through all his cds to hear the songs...You GOTTA BUY THIS CD!!!

I want to say that anyone on here that is not feelin his album is crazy. You cant compare a different album to a past album first off. Second you cant expect an album to have the same sound. This was a very soulful album. So what if it was short it was good. I recommend that anyone that is a REAL fan of Musiq goes and buys this album. It will only dissapoint those who believe these here now gone tomorrow fans. Believe me this is real good music. stay on the up and up

First off let me start off by saying that I respect Musiq and his work but I haven't really been a fan until now. I should go get his previous albums and listen to them. But, at first I wasn't really feeling B.U.D.D.Y. but as time progressed the song started to grow on me. So, I was like man..seeing that Musiq usually makes good stuff. I was like why not go and cop the album?? So, I got it..and I digg it...it's very decent.
I am with some of the other reviewers..it may be a little bit mellow but its still cool. However, my favorite track is, Ms. philadelphia.

It's good. So, go and cop it so you can write your own review.

To close you eyes and feel the music, its written so nice and the songs are so up lifting. This is his 4th album its a little diferent then the other three,but such a great new sound. His musiq is music true music everyone needs to get this album. If you have AOL his album is displayed there, under complete album listening party, check it out, and then buy the album it's hot!!!!!!!!!!!
