Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars FANTASTIC .......2005-08-16

This is one of the BEST pop albums ever. Her Serene Highness Princess Stephanie got it all right: perfect lyrics, music, tunes, atmosphere. Thank you so much....

1 out of 5 stars trash pop.......2005-07-17

This is one of two albums from Stephanie, Princess of Monaco. She had a hit with "Irresistible" in the 80s in Europe, but also had plenty press simply for being a Princess. Her voice is rather weak and you can hear it is doubled several times. The production seems weak and trashy too. It's for lovers of trash pop and famous people starting to sing only.

4 out of 5 stars Essential from her first work, but not the best one........2004-07-29

This album shows only a little portion of the short musical career of the Princess of Monaco, with an innovative and innocent flavor on tracks like "Irresistible", "Live Your Life" and "Besoin". This album doesn't overcome the vocal power that Stephanie demonstrated in 1991 with her self-titled LP, but all tracks are funny and very well produced by Romano Musumarra, the same of Jeanne Mas and Elsa.

TRACK EVALUATION

1. "Besoin" : Well, she doesn't sing! only talks like a little girl.
2. "One Love To Give" : English version of Flash. The only reason that makes me HATE all "english versions" it's because the lyrics are completely DIFFERENT from the french originals, but, be honest: Stephanie don't write any of this album lyrics (she will write in 1991 with her self-titled LP). And... whatever.
3. "Rendez Vous" : Nice song, it makes me remember The Cure!
4. "Young Ones Everywhere" : Maybe the best song of Stephanie. In this song, the magical "fixing mistakes" chorus has gone! Happy rhythm.
5. "Ouragan" : An excellent song, Stephanie touch the sky with this song. Before Ouragan were performed by the Princess, it would be a... JEANNE MAS hit!! But Romano Musumarra and Yves Roze wants that hit for Steph. Could you imagine WHY?
In this song, you will listen 3 or 4 Stephanie voices. I don't understand why, maybe for fixing mistakes.
6. "Fleurs du Mal" : Slow song. A ballad, sexy and synth rhythm that remembers me a soft velvet. Another track that the magica "fixing mistakes" chorus has gone.
7. "Live your life" : Power song, quick drums, delicate Stephanie voice vs. the raw rhythms.
8. "Le Sega Mauricien" (remix) : I don't know the original version of this song, but I hate the remix. It sounds like Hawaiian music that appears on the 70's cinema but with lyrics in FRENCH!!
9. "Flash" : Second promotion track, very well produced, soft Stephanie's voice, elegant and strong rhythm.
10. "How can it be" : Unreleased track, in english, with a lot of glamour in the melody and rhythm, Stephanie sings with a lot of effort.
11. "Irresistible" : English version of "Ouragan". Not my best one. I will prefer to listen the voice with the "magical chorus", because the producers left Stephanie alone with the microphone, and... and... no comments.
12. "I'm waiting for you" : English version of "Fleurs du mal". Another track that have the trouble of the chorus, this time, at the other side!! It will be better, to let Stephanie sing alone, but the producers this time PUT the "magical chorus" in ALL the song and the voice of Steph sounds very confused.
13. "Dance with me" : English version of "Rendez Vous". The voice sounds very similar to the french one.
14. "One Love to Give" (remix) : Long version, but with more pronounced drums, it sounds like the radio version of "Flash" but with 7 minutes of running time.

Objection: Where is "Dis Tout Ba Dis" song?
