Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Wow! Can Anyone Review Her Other Albums?.......2005-03-14

I've been browsing Amazon today, putting more music on my "Wish List." I'm disappointed that I can't listen to all of Rosa Passos' albums here -- can anyone share his/her thoughts on the flavors of Canta Antonio Carlos Jobim, Azul or Festa? I must get Morada Do Samba! Her voice is so gentle and sweet. All of her songs on this album are well matched: mellow yet sexy. Perfect for cooking a romantic dinner or just melting into the floor by yourself in peace (thanks ArtCity, for your review ).

5 out of 5 stars weak at the knees in a world that rewards muscles.......2004-04-05

Ren?e, This week I received some brasilian music in the mail, a CD of a woman named Rosa Passos. From the first moment I listen to her songs... I am destroyed, like a zombie... a mass of jelly. The sound of this gentle soul is so beautiful it makes me want to lie on the floor and go away, into the yellow sun, surrounded by a million smiling faces... I don't know, maybe this music is not so entirely healthy...

Whatever it is that makes me receptive to the directness, the honesty of Rosa Passos, this simple beauty in the form of human art... while at the same time feeling powerless... I would not trade it for a huge roasted chicken and a bottle of wine. Meet me in June.(...)
