Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Brutal, Scary, Apocalypitic Death Metal.......2003-08-19

Have you ever wondered what the end of the world would be like? Well, just crank this album on and prepare to be destroyed or better yet, crushed. This album is a classic and personal favorite of mine. It holds an extremely important place in my list of greatest death metal albums of all time. This is the album that made me a fan of this band and to tell you the honest truth, I have never been the same after hearing it nor do I ever regret buying it. It's just one of those albums that will make you apprecriate death metal in one form or another. So, the best way I could discribe this album is extravagently intense, catastrophic, cataclysmic, apocalyptic, thunderous, devastating, annihilating, scary, technical yet totally brutal death metal at its ultimate best. The vocals are pretty scary, the bass is thunderous, the guitars are melodic yet intense and the drums sound almost like an earthquake. There is also 2 incredable instrimentals. The first is called Sympathy which can be discribed as something from a Conan or a Barbarian movie because it's comprised of classical music. The second one is called Spirit World which could be looked upon as sort of new age song because it really sounds like a peaceful journey through the spiritual realm of eternity. Some of my favorite songs here are These Walls Shell Be Your Grave, Ceremonial Unearthing, Crushed, Cries Of The Forsaken, Cryptorium and Spawned Illusion which is my most favorite. So, with everything I've said, buy this album and be prepared for annihilation. You've been warned.

5 out of 5 stars Screams Of Anguish SCREAMS out pure Brutalness.......1999-05-27

Screams of Anguish has awesome riffs and flowing double bass that is ultra fast. The instrumentals are very melodic and will make you want to go adventuring!! Wicked stuff of high METAL caliber. NOT FOR THE TRENDY!
