Early DKL.......2004-08-31

Hinge; the band now known as Dry Kill Logic, speaks the truth with the title of their first record/EP Cause Moshin' is Good Fun! If you love Dry Kill Logic, then you will enjoy their career as Hinge. The 3 songs on here are of a more a different style then those found on later releases though. Mainly in the style of the guitar. They had a different guitar play before Scott Thompson (I don't know what his name is) and it shows mainly on Take Away. Modern DKL fans will drool at the sound of I See I Hate. Sadly these works of Hinge have been out of print for a long time and probably stay that way. What DKL should do is re-release this with Elemental Evil and maybe a few other rare songs on 1 CD. But now we can only hope and wait. If you are really desperate, you can download these 3 songs off iTunes (of all places) for a dollar each.

The CD is great and it's even better when you see the band live. If you get a chance to see Hinge, you won't be disappointed.

I believe that this is an excellent release by Hinge, showcasing their raw talent. I also think that this EP helped them secure their contract with Roadrunner Records. I can't wait for their next release in June 2001.
