Customer Reviews:

1 out of 5 stars Yeah, it's still horrible.......2007-03-08

Seriously, this is thrash-lite compared to something like Morbid Saint's "Sepctrum of Death". THAT is an album that will rip your face off.

5 out of 5 stars Best THRASH ALBUM EVER.......2007-03-05

This has got to be the best thrash album of all time to prove it here it is well first the lyrics are just insane and unpredictable un-comparable in brutality to any other album ever realesed period TRUE.
second consistency the entire album even the extra tracks on the new release never let up i have listened to alot of thrash albums and this one will never let up somebody say master of puppets bla lets up like a little B**** all over the place peace sells same same same same with all other albums none as consistent. third the vocals and precision of the guitar attacks are like no other maybe some other bands one or two song hypes but never a whole album never never never never like this. finally the artwork which is just icing on the cake but does very well depict exactly what you are going to get so there it is i proved my point. anyone who disrespects this #1 thrash album of all time is not a thrash fan or just can't swallow somthing so insainly perfect or is just a jealous moron. until you seen them perform this thing in it's entirety right in front of you, you have no right criticizing this masterpiece the cd is great but when it is actually played right in front of you you will never expereince the precision involved so all underage or jealous FAGS shut the F*** up.

5 out of 5 stars Greatest Thrash album ever........2007-02-18

I remember rating this album a while back one star. Thats when I was still ignorant and didn't understand what good metal was. This is one of the greatest metal albums ever and is probably the best thrash album ever. The one thing one must remember with this album is, unless you listen to a lot of extreme metal on a regular basis, you will not be able to like this record on the first few listens. Once you listen to it a bunch of times it will actually grow on you, you will find that these songs all have memorable hooks underneath the chaos! Take for instance the opener Angel of Death. On first listen it sounds like just noise, but after several listens the awesomeness of it comes out, how the intense thrashing intro leads into the sick grooving midsection complete with an awesome riff to boot, followed by a barrage of five back to back shredding solos. Awesome. The eight songs in between Raining blood are all similar yet, with the exception of reborn are all excellent. Each of these songs, despite their brevity have small but definite musical hooks that discern each track from one another. Raining Blood finishes off this record, and is an absolutely amazing song, its riff is arguably the most memorable metal riff ever. Everything about this record is awesome from the Gruff but clear vocals, the machine gun drumming, the rapid riffery and insane atonal soloing (not technically the best but fits the album perfectly) and the sick twisted lyrics. Just give this record time because it will grow on you. And believe the hype. It's as great as everyone says it is

5 out of 5 stars Best speed metal album ever.......2007-01-07

I haven't read much of the other reviews. I noticed that at the time I write this, there are 551 reviews. So I won't say much. This is by far the best speed metal album ever made, and the one I listened to the most in my life. I suppose I listened to it at least 100 times. This seems to be a common statement from a lot of people I know who love this album.

This album of course isn't for everyone. I've met some speed metal fans which didn't like this much. They were few and far between.

This album seems so much different than other speed metal, in that it has a distinct evil sound to it.

3 out of 5 stars Meh........2006-12-24

I used to be a huge fan of this album a year ago, but now when I heard much better metal, I can certainly say this is an average record. Most of the songs here are pretty much noise, but they're all passable. The only really great song here is Angel of Death. And it's not that heavy or technical. Sure it isn't bad, but it doesn't deserve all this hype. In fact it's not even Slayer's best (Hell Awaits, South of Heaven and Seasons in the Abyss are all better). But whatever, I'm gonna listen to some Sepultura while you're piling me negative votes. Later.
