Customer Reviews:

2 out of 5 stars I expected more..........2004-05-07

I'm a big Edguy fan. So when I had the chance to listen to "Eggi"'s solo effort, I was anxious to hear it. I haven't heard the entire album, but the tracks I've heard were disappointing. The music itself is OK, but nothing extraordinary. The vocalist ruins it for me. Granted, Tobi Sammet is practically a vocal god. The lead singer for Taraxacum sounds like a weak Joey Tempest (80's era Europe) knockoff at times, and at the high end of his range (out of his range if you ask me) sounds like Geddy Lee from Rush. Not good.

Based on what I've heard, I wouldn't bother with this one. Sorry Eggi!

3 out of 5 stars An All Over The Place Mix of Rock/Metal.......2004-03-07

Labeled as melodic metal and getting alot of good buzz lately on a Board I like to frequent,Taraxacum are a unique band in the metal field.
Reminding me a bit of Angra (fireworks)but alot more commercial in some songs. Some Deep Purplish organs going in some tracks that sound pretty cool layered over a more modern sound.
The singer sounds good on the heavier tracks, with some grit. The tracks that lean towards heavy metal are great. But there's also tracks where he sings very clean vocals that tend to be too sweet.Definitly a mix of differant styles offered up within one disc.
Well produced and played, they are talented. But just where does their true musical direction lie? I think they need to take the heavier road.Like on Prayer In Unison,Rainmaker( best song on the CD) Make It Happen,Game Over, & The Red Pill.
The tracks that are good are good, and the tracks that suck, really suck.I'd say it's 60/40 good.
Last track is Lo Que Falto.A ballad sung in Spanish.Strange 4A German band.I'd swear these dudes hailed from South America.
