Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars M.o.d.......2007-01-23

Heh I got this primarily for the nostalgia, M.o.d is a unique band, not realy metal, but not realy rap, they play in the gray area. & the CD was in excellent condition as was its case when I recieved this, so this company & this product gets a 5 from me.

5 out of 5 stars Not The Old MOD but..........2005-11-06

it's still great.Although Billy is rapping a bit in this he does it well. The riffs are as heavy as ever they're still pretty fast.If you like MOD and aren't a narrow minded punk then you'll enjoy this.

2 out of 5 stars Unaceptable.......2003-09-24

The song "Intruder" was one of the singles of this album, and it was played on Headbangers ball back in the day. I really liked Intruder, it was in your face hardcore, and Billy Milano's voice sounds strong and agressive, so i went out and bought the album....I felt really let down by all the other tracks except Intruder, and certainly didint sound like the first M.O.D. albums that are much better than this one. If you wanna get anything with Billy in it, get S.O.D or the first 2 M.O.D albums.

1 out of 5 stars Rhythm of Fear.......2003-07-11

Rhythm of Fear fails to deliver. It's mostly unentertaining and boring. My favorite songs were: Dead End, Rally(NYC), Get Up And Dance, and Step By Step is alright. The problem is 2/3 of the best songs are already on M.O.D.'s Loved By Thousands...Hated By Millions plus even better tracks.

4 out of 5 stars M.O.D does hardcore.......2001-07-04

After the mediocre Gross Misconduct and the stupid Surfin' M.O.D. albums, I was wondering if they would come back, or call it quits and just stick with S.O.D. Well they came back, and very strong. This album showcases Billy Milano getting back to his hardcore roots. Songs like "Dead End," "Step By Step" and "I, the Earth" are all great hardcore songs. And "Rally (NYC) is a song about the intense NY hardcore scene.

Production on this album is a little raw, but it suits the music well. And just like all the other M.O.D. albums, the line-up is different. Billy is now handling all the Bass responsibilities, Dave Chavarri is on drums, and Tim McMurtrie (U.S.A. For M.O.D.) is back on guitar. This proves to be a great line-up, as they are all talented musicians, but more importantly, write very catchy songs.

Oh yeah, they do experiment a bit with rap core here. "Rhymestein" and "Jive Time Jimmy's Revenge" are both crossover songs. Thing is they are both good. Billy has figured out how to blend rap and hardcore without sounding like a rap band. Don't listen to the racist rantings of vlad. This is a good effort by M.O.D. Give it a listen, and see for yourself.
