Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars TOO SHORT FOR 5 STARS.......2004-06-17

Inventive guitar playing all the way. Nodding references to many styles and awesome technique. SARACENO should have been one of the biggest names in this form of musik. If you like the work of HOEY / SATRIANI / VI etc. than this should be in your collection as it is up to the highest standards. The playing and compositions are first class and only the duration of approx 25 minutes means 4 instead of 5 stars. For a CD with 80 minutes capacity, that is simply not good enough. Just as well that it is a brilliant 25 minutes.

5 out of 5 stars This guy is amazing.......2003-09-09

Blues Saraceno was the poster-boy of Guitar magazines back in the 80's, and for good reason: he can really play. Of course, there are a lot of guitarists that can tear it up, but on "Plaid," his 2nd solo album, Saraceno shows he's every bit the guitar hero as guys like Vai and Satriani.

Joe Franco is a monster on the drums and shines on every track. His contributions make this so much more than so many run-of-the-mill guitar instrumental records.

Saraceno has 2 other solo records (Never Look Back and Hairpick) as well as a new band called Transmission OK that is COMPLETELY different than his solo stuff. In between, he recorded an album with Poison (Crack a Smile) and toured with the group briefly.

It's been a few years since I've heard about any new Blues projects. Hey Blues, pick up your guitar and play, dude. And you, reading this review, go get Plaid. It's excellent.
