Customer Reviews:
THE CRUE WOULD BE PROUD.......2000-04-14
This is the greatest tribute ever! These bands pull of their own versions of Crue songs like real pros! You can't go wrong, these are the songs we know and love, just played by bands who are also inspired by the true power of the CRUE!
IT rocks and I would reccomend it to any REAL Crue fan. The artwork is REALLY intense as well.
Certain Tracks were cool.......1999-12-31
The CD overall could have been a hell of alot better! But one band in particular I can't wait for are the B Movie Rats--They rocked! Will be looking for more by them in the future!
*bleah*.......1999-12-11
This tribute album sounds like something that Wierd Al would put out. I don't think it's worth getting unless you can find it in the bargain bin. Compared to the Aerosmith tribute album this is bad.
"Dr. Feelgood" and "Live Wire" came out OK. Sounds too much like Rob Zombie. "Girls, Girls, Girls" by Tuuli sounds really bad! They couldn't even play the entire riff!
Get this album if you want to have a complete Crue collection. Otherwise take the moneys and get a bootleg copy of a live Crue performance.
Sorry, this album stinks. I've only playing guitar for 3 years and I can play some of these tracks better.
A must have for any Motley fan.......1999-11-01
I was really surprised at the depth that a lot of the artists reached on some of the titles. Though not impressed with a few tracks (Wild Side, On With the Show), "Girls, Girls, Girls", "Stick to your Guns", and "Too Fast for Love" were great. Overall, the production, musicianship, and arrangements were well-above what I expected from a bunch of local acts.
