Customer Reviews:

2 out of 5 stars Phenomena II is fantastic music..........2006-03-05

Great songs, great voices, mixed together in a project. Well, i really don't know how to explain what i feel when i listen to this cd. It's just amazing music. Here, in Brazil is almost impossible to find this cd. Thanks amazon.com to have this available...

4 out of 5 stars Still sounds great!!.......2006-02-11

I got this CD back in 1989, I just played it again, and it took me back to when I was 19 again!! In these times of synthetic/rap music, and "musicians" whos main feature is a shocking lack of talent, it's good to hear music with some real fire in it!

5 out of 5 stars Great album by some great Brit rockers.......1999-12-01

This is a terrific album for anyone that likes melodic hard rock. It features 4 different vocalists-Ray Gillen (Badlands, Sun Red Sun, Sabbath); John Wetton (King Crimson., Asia, etc); Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple, Sabbath, etc); and Max Bacon (Asia & GTR). This was a side project of the Galley Bros: Mel and Tom. I Love all the songs on here. "Move-You Lose" is totally awesome. Ray Gillen is the star of this album. His voice is truly missed. "Did it all for love" by Wetton is a classic also. Glenn Hughes does a super job (like always) on "Surrender". I have listened to this cd since I got it 2 years ago almost daily. There are 2 more out there. I wish I knew more about this "band" and album. It is trully hard to find anything on it. It is a must listen. Get this or any Phenomena album.

3 out of 5 stars Good listening stuff but don't expect a masterpiece........1999-09-28

Some really good stuff packed on this album. The vocals are strong, with veteran vocalists John Wetton (formerly of Asia) and Glen Hughes (ex-Black Sabbath). The music is well-composed and somewhat resembles the post-Wetton era Asia stuff (Aqua, Arena, Aria). "Did It All For Love" and "Move - You Lose" have a great rhythm and there are no sudden shifts in tempo, that often render some otherwise good rock stuff bad; the music flows pretty evenly through each song. Didn't find any exceptional riffs though, if that's what one's looking for. But good rock stuff on the whole. A must for "Asia" lovers.
