Still Relevant After 6 Long Years.......2005-08-30

It is amazing considering its age. This album could be the standard by which modern metalcore acts are measured. When trying to decide what songs to put on my mp3 player (i dont have a cool ipod like you) i had to put them all. AND their back together and recording new stuff! AND re-releasing this.

I was introduced to these guys by a friend and I was extremely suprised that I'd never heard of them before...mainly because this is one of the hardest and, quite possibly, the best written hardcore/thrash disc I've heard in a long time. It really focuses hard on the riff, which are well executed and perfectly placed. The vocals are rough enough to incite mayhem, but not so overwhelming as is the case in a lot of hardcore acts now-a-days. While they aren't around anymore, this band deserves some serious props for create something that will last a long time in the halls of chaos!

Turmoil's best album in my opinion. A great sendoff for a great band. This album is: heavy. fast. loud. Yet Turmoil manages to create melodies and chorus' inside this onslaught of a recording. I got this album in 99' and didnt start listening to it again until 2001. I was quite sad to find out they had broken up, and that I never got the chance to see them live. The lyrics on this album are Great. Subjects include the norm, self-loathing, misanthropy, corruption of the music-scene. The songs are mostly short, but very well done. There are only a Few words on this album in which The singer is not screaming : ) Which is great, cause screaming Rules.

It is really sad that Turmoil is breaking up, but if it is their decision to break up, then thats their decision. But you know what, they left the metal hardcore scenes with one of the sickest and most insanely heavy records EVER! that is THE PROCESS OF...
