1 out of 5 stars An insult to the music industry.......2005-09-24

I saw a review on the internet that compared Impaled to Carcass (one of my favorite bands), and so I looked them up. I took a gander at this album, and presto...nausea. Seriously. If you have nothing better to put on an album cover than a toilet overflowing with scite, you need to...GRAAAAAGH!

Albums like this make me angry about liking music, or, rather, mortified that stupid sh*t bands like this even exist. If you're going to make an album about feces, you have a serious problem. I am not just saying that in a shallow, I-hate-this sort of way, I'm saying this in a medical-you-guys-need-mental-help sort of way. You are obviously extremely immature, definately unnecessary, senseless and heartless.

From information I have gathered, these d**ks were influenced by Carcass. Now, as some of you know, Carcass uses gory lyrics just like these [put insult here], but Carcass actually uses that to create a message (a vegetarian message, making all of their lyrics both sarcastic and ironic). These guys? They're doing it for they're own sick pleasure. Congratulations, Impaled. You just made me so p*ssed off you forced me to write this (bad) editorial rant on how much you suck.

With Curses,
Fredheadzooka

5 out of 5 stars A Masterpiece of Fecal Fun!!!.......2005-01-16

With Impaled's The Dead Shall Dead Remain, they have painted a truly gruesome, disgusting, and horrific picture of death/gore/grind music...and it's GREAT!!! The only complaint I have is that I wish the band had a little more money for production, but other than that, what we have here is one of the best gore/grind cd's ever recorded!!! Let me tell you, the cover says it all!

The disk kicks off with a rather truthful introduction about death being the most rejected and denied human condition ever...and then the album explodes with diarrhea and intestines as the opener Feces Of Death takes you down into muddy, and very stanky, toilet ride. Flesh and Blood is a roller coaster ride of fecal fun thru the muddy depths that Impaled are made of. Spirits Of The Dead and All That Rots are probably my favorite fecal hymns, but all of the tracks are full of good, decent fecal fun. These guys' lyrics are just fecal-tastic! I love these guys for their music ability and their very, very disturbing and disgusting humor, I guess because I have always had a very unusual sense of humor, so I could relate to these guys right away!!! Raul Varela's (Human Hide Bastinado) drum work is very fast and he seems to play his blast beats with great accuracy. I personally love his 20-minute long tom rolls. Ross Sewage's (Wrecktal Enigmations) bass lines and his deep growls make this disk very interesting and fun to listen to. Sean McGrath's (Clangorus Cacophony and Crepitous Colloquy) guitar work along with past-member Leon Del Muerte's (Vomitonit and Guitarded Fustigation) guitar work make some interesting riffs, and they both do really awesome guitarded solos, and they even name each one as an added bonus, which is quite ingenious in my opinion!!!

If you have a disgusting sense of humor like I do, or if you are a fecal-philiac, then this is a must have for your fecal collection! Highly skilled and highly entertaining! Hails Impaled!!!

5 out of 5 stars Sick, brutal, fast, ... with one word IMPALED.......2004-07-16

Well, we're talking about IMPALED, whitch means to get planted on pales, so this music is not for chikens!!!
Insane gore/grind band, whitch simply kicks you in your head!!!
The covers are very gory, brutal, etc. This band's music sounds like Carcass or Exhumed, alo very insane band, but Impaled 're 100% the sickest band in metal industry.Lyrics are spooky and whole production is great! it's very fun to listen their music, but this is a band whitch you hate or love it, so many people hate it. I also like changing vocals in the band, as I said before, their music is cool to listening. I also recomend you Chois cuts and Mondo medicale, whitch is banned in 84 countries around the world, now say they 're not brutal!!! Metal fans, you have to get that album, because if you don't have that one, you 're not a metal fan, anithing from them, you won't be disappointment, belive me!

1 out of 5 stars Almost the worst record ever........2004-06-23

A toilet? A toilet on the cover? Really, what in the hell were we thinking? And really, a couple of beers during recording would suffice, but did we have to polish off a forty-eight pack of swill each day during the creation of this monumental mistake? It's not like we could play anyway, but I'm sure severe inebriation did nothing to enhance our lackluster talents.

From beginning to end, this is a stupid, stupid record. Right from the get go, the first song is centered around a poop joke. It's as if you stepped out of adult music land to the potty laden musings of a kindergardener. If the immaturity in the lyrics isn't enough to dissuade you, just imagine the trite attempts at guitar solos, drumming, and bass playing. If you took 100 monkeys, gave them 100 guitars, they'd come up with 100 better songs than this.

The jokes only get worse. The scrawl from a bathroom graffiti adorn the inner tray, we try to pretend that we can perform sugery on an obviously alive and very photoshopped girl, and there are songs about making beer. MAKING BEER! I mean, really, as if we could even manage such a feat, and as if we needed MORE than we were already imbibing.

The vocals are simply dreadful. If you can imaging Bozo the Clown attempting to sound like the devil, that's what the bozo singing on this record sounds like. And Mr. McGrath's high vocals sound about as terrifying as a school-girl from Japan with laryngitis.

My involvement in this debacle is nothing more than an embarassment in my life. My family has shunned me, kids throw eggs at me as I walk down the street, and the other day, I was spat upon by a homeless person. I really can't imagine a more awful record than this... well, except for Exhumed's Gore Metal. Now that I'm REALLY embarassed about!

5 out of 5 stars Well, done...........2004-03-19
