"Say Just Words" is popular among Paradise Lost fans, but in my opinion is not only a weak Paradise Lost song, but weak even by the transitional nature of the album "One Second." What shines on this version of the single is an excellent cover of the Smith's "How Soon Is Now", bringing forth the misery and frustration of the song brilliantly-- dare i say even better than the original. It certainly puts to shame all the other more recent (and more popular)covers of the song. Singer Nick Holmes wails with an impressive intensity, and the guitars are top notch. "Albino Flogged In Black" is an unpleasant trudge through sadistic and brutal S&M. Not for the squeamish or for those who prefer well-written music to shock value. This EP, like its counterpart "Say Just Words Pt.1" would not be worth the money-- except for the amazing Smiths cover.

I bought this CD single before the album it belongs to (One Second) came out and was startled by Paradise Lost new sound. It had become more Sisters of Mercy style depressed black-rock and less pure metal. The CD is a must buy if you like One Second as much as most people do, for just the two covers How Soon is now? and Albino Flogged in Black. And of course the CD also contains the masterpiece Say Just Words which is worth hearing again and again. Buy this CD (not it's twin with grey cover) since this one contains the covers.
