Kat Arthur and Legal weapon were fantastic- but they weren't an early nineties band. We were wearing out our Death of Innocence vinyl in 83. Legal Weapon were a defining force in the mid eighties with the help of seminal OC/LA punks like Frank Agnew and Steve Soto. By the nineties punk was nothing but a twitching corpse and the bands trying to hold up the cadaver and make it twitch were at that point just vampires desperate to feed.

If you want to pick up some not so well known punk-pop music from the early nineties, this one won't disappoint. The vocals that Kat Arthur delivers are sexy and powerful and the musicianship is straight ahead and right on. This is the best Legal Weapon has to offer...and it delivers the goods with powerful guitar riffs on tunes like "Waiting in Line" and "Wanna Be" to great bass licks on "Death of Innocence". The career of Legal Weapon didn't last long, but this album should go down as one the best "alternative" albums of the early nineties.
