Customer Reviews:
What do you mean, who are they?.......2003-07-02
All I can say is that I have been a fan of this band since their very first album. Such songs like "On the Edge" Grey Flap" and "Turbulent" are ultimate headbanging exquisitery. I love Sell out, although I have to admit, it does not seem as good to me as the first CD. However, "Rest" is awesome.
If you like Type O Negative and Paradise Lost, you should have no problem loving Pist.On.
Pist.on???? Yeah I know!!!.......2003-04-11
Who's Pist.On....?? Well I discovered this band when Number One came out.. after that i thought they would never release a new CD.. then $ell Out came out.. I was instantly touched by it.. I can no longer find the CD which is a shame.. My favorite song is SOMEONE.. all the songs are awesome.. you appreciate music in all shapes and forms.. You will truely fall in love with this group of noones!!
awesome!.......2003-01-12
This is one of the great under-appreciated bands. Their songwriting (and performance) are excellent, and I`m sure they will never be heard from again. This is truly a shame. Buy this CD.
Buy this. You need it........2001-11-06
What we see here is a band in turmoil. The line-up has depreciated by one since this Lp came out, and in all likelihood it will be their last. It is certainly the last LP with bassist Valium on, whose voice is vastly better on this record than on the debut 'number one'.
Buy this - it won't be around forever.
The style of this record is mellow 'olde-metal' featuring the seductive crooning and wailing of Henry Font, a great singer, who is perfectly complemented by Val's backing harmonies. 'Rest' rocks, 'Suddenly Sober' is an Anthem with a capital 'A', '31 Degrees' is a lolloping mammoth of a tune, and these three tracks are worth the cover price alone.
Admittedly, Type O Negative fans that got into the band through their connections with Josh Silver might not care for the preoduction of this album, which holds nothing of the Gothic pretensions from tunes like 'Down & Out' or 'Exhume her', and the first album is still probably better, but I love this LP, and it is still fixed to my stereo even this long after the release date.
pist.on in general.......2001-09-21
The band is the best no-name band ever. I come from germany and i just know one person who ever heard of the band - i think there aren't a lot persons who like the band but the ones that like one song of them will love the whole cd. I now have both cd's and they are the best cd's that i have cause u can listen to the tracks as often as u want without being bored!
I really cant understand why they are so unpopular although they've played with bands like korn and when i remember right type o negative just to mention the most popular ones!
