4 out of 5 stars Leeway's fourth and final album (So far...).......2006-11-08

Following 1994's ADULT CRASH, Leeway released OPEN MOUTH KISS. With the loss of their lead guitarist, the band presses on into the mid 90's with a good solid effort. In this album you can hear much improvement over ADULT CRASH's very incomplete sound. Here the band has a much more solid sound and it really seems like they are playing together once again. These songs can be considered to be "radio friendly" by 1995's standard, but by today, the album seems like a masterpiece compared to rock that is currently offered.

Of course, by this album, you are missing the days of BORN TO EXPIRE and DESPERATE MEASURES, but it is just good to hear that the band can still kick some moving songs. Sadly, so far, this is the bands last album release. It's a shame because after hearing this album you feel like Leeway had at least 2 or 3 albums left in them.

THE GOOD NEWS: After nearly 10 years they are currently reunited and are touring. Their lineup is that of the original DESPERATE MEASURES band and they play pretty much BORN TO EXPIRE and DESPERATE MEASURES dominated sets.

Don't miss Leeway in 2006.
