Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Best Death Metal Band, Especially Live!.......2006-04-02

Let me preface this by saying I'm not a huge metal fan let alone death metal fan. I like Slayer, Maiden, Fear Factory and such but a lot of it just turns me off.

This is the best metal live album made and #2 is about 1,000,000 light years behind!

This was the first CD I bought after starting college(UC Davis!) when I heard it playing from the stereo of my future roommate, bandmate, best friend, etc. on the first night in the dorms. That was in 1995...

I saw Testament four times that year and several other times since then. They are great and this album proves that several times over. From the concert to the awesome acoustic studio tracks.

I'm listening to it again in 2006 and it's still unbelievable. Now if I could just go back to '95... Well this at least brings me close.

5 out of 5 stars there's nothing like live Testament.......2005-09-15

Testament should be one of the "big 4" of thrash metal since Metallica wimped out. this disc is awesome. every song, whether I have heard it or not, is a standout.

5 out of 5 stars Couldn't get any better.......2004-12-01

I just wanted to say this is by far the best live album I own. The sound quality is amazing and the choice of songs is perfect.
The acoustic tracks in the end are the perfect way to close the album (besides being exceptionally well done too!!)

I highly recommend this album!!

5 out of 5 stars Ass kicking machine.......2003-11-04

This CD is awesome, I've been a Testament fan for a long time, and it seems like they keep getting heavier and heavier. Chuck Billy does a good job of making old songs even heavier than ever. Buy this CD if you like metal.

5 out of 5 stars Great Live Album.......2003-03-30

This CD is the best live CD I have ever heard. Quality recording and great musicians and mostly old songs..what more is needed? Most of the songs on this album are from their first two releases, and then some from "Practice..." thru "Low." This also contains two instrumentals..."A Dirge" which is a great melodic guitar song, and "Urotsukidoji" which is a powerful song and Greg Christian proves he is one of the best bassists in metal. The last 3 songs on this CD are acoustic re-makes, but the originals are still much better. James Murphy does a good job at taking up Skolnick's guitar parts. This is a good compilation if you are looking for a starter album for Testament and a must have for fans.
