5 out of 5 stars Another hidden gem by DFD.......2007-02-28

If this album is the first time you've heard DFD, you probably think the album should be titled Committed to the Nearest Insane Asylum but repeated plays are required for the uninitiated to appreciate the band's brilliance. The band recently disbanded and played their last show in Baltimore. DFD went out on top with their epic album Adultery which will always be in my top 5 albums of all time. Buy this and all other DFD albums as they're getting hard to find. All 12 tracks of CTABF are incredibly produced and I know of no other band in existence today that seamlessly shifts from one genre to another, jazz, metal, hard rock, funk, punk, ska, it's all there. My personal favorite tracks are Love Song for a Witch, Worm in a Dog's Heart, Pogo the Clown and Acid Memoirs. It's fitting that a toilet adorns the front cover of the album and I'm sure there's a hidden message for the music industry. For an insight into why great bands such as DFD disband go to [...] and click on the trailer of the soon-to-be-released documentary of how the music industry really works. DFD was the inspiration for the documentary and the bottom line is that talent is irrelevant it's all about numbers, nothing more and nothing less. Well done lads and thank you for the decade of creative, innovative and original music. You will be missed!

5 out of 5 stars Excellent album from and underated band.......2007-02-21

This album has it all, witches, serial killers, acid flashbacks, and
incredible production values as well. Truly a 5 star disc. Recomended
to all fans of Mr. Bungle, Faith No More, or to anyone who has ever
been drunk at a carnival.

5 out of 5 stars Amazing.......2006-01-10

This is one of the best bands I've EVER come across- and I've come across a lot of bands... the incredible musicianship combined with powerful and sometimes haunting vocals is a recipe for success. My favorite tracks are Pogo the Clown and The Acid Memoirs, which is not to say that the others aren't any good- far from it... One funny thing I noticed is that earlier reviewers have said that their cover of Grease is before the first track, whereas mine is after the last one...

5 out of 5 stars In my youth a took a trip.......2005-06-25

One of the best CDs ever. With unique sound. Incredible, commpletely worth buying.

4 out of 5 stars Great Album.......2005-04-20

This cd is awesome. It's range in sound from metal to jazz to funk to circus-rock makes your head spin. The vocals are done beautifully, covering screams, singing beautifully, and singing in a completely weird fashion. The lyrics, the music, the keyboards, all create the feel of Dog Fashion Disco. And one last thing.....the best place for a hidden track i've ever come across. If you haven't found out by now, their cover of Grease is before track 1, you have to rewind the cd as soon as you start it. Genious.
