head banging, gut pounding metal.......2006-07-25

If you like the vocals of AC/DC's Bon scott. Mixed with the sledg hammer beats and driving rythums of judas priest and accept. you will love what Krokus has to offer. A must for the metal collection. Headhunter A awsome piece of musical insparation. Eat the rich. ha ha ha ha. The song said it all. as well as all the songs on this cd. it just kicks my mule. The group could not have made it any better. As perfect as it is. Dont take my word for it. BUY THE CD AND YOU WILL UNDERSTAND!!!

The Krokus Peak.......2006-02-22

Krokus had released three albums prior to Headhunter, all of which are madly impossible to pick up without having to import them. Luckily I was able to pick up all three at a record store not long ago and I can say that all three of this albums get increasingly better. A sound was being developed. That sound was perfected with Headhunter and it is amazing this band did not become more popular for it. Headhunter is a straight hard rock album with great hooks and no gimmicks. You know what you are getting with Krokus much like with the band that clearly influenced Krokus the greatest, AC/DC. Clearly one of the better hard rock albums of the earl 80's but it remains fact that since there is no great substance, I can not give five stars. There can be great hard rock albums with substance but this is not one of them. This is just a balls out rocker and if that's what you are in the mood for then this is indeed one of the best!

Krokus Hit Their Stride.......2005-11-19

I was never a huge fan of Krokus but after seeing the video for Screaming In The Night I decided to get Headhunter and I was glad I did! There is not a bad song on this solid album. The riffs crunch, the drums pound, the solos wail, and Marc Storace's vocals lead the assault. My favorite tracks are Eat The Rich (great riff and solo!), Screaming In The Night, Ready To Burn (chorus w/ Rob Halford), and Russian Winter. There is also a good cover of BTO's Stayed Awake All Night. Unfortunately Krokus would listen to the label (dick)heads and start putting out commercial crap for the rest of the 80's. But wait, they have returned with the rockin Rock The Block and all is well again in Krokusland! If you can find The Dirty Dozen you may want to grab that instead of Headhunter. There are six songs on it from Headhunter and some other Krokus Klassics.

I borrowed this album from a friend, and then bought a copy for myself, and I must say, Krokus is killer. one of my favorite tracks is "Screaming In The Night" but the whole album is killer. this is a classic album. if you don't have this in your collection, something is wrong with you.

Classic Heavy Metal Album.......2005-05-09

If you enjoy classic Heavy Metal, this is a must for your collection. This is one of those rare albums where all the songs are great. There's a lot of heart, originality and grit in this album. I had this album back in the day, and it's always been in the back of my mind all these years. For a time I forgot the name and was getting worried. Now that I'm rebuilding my collection, I was eager to get my hands on this album.
