Customer Reviews:
Good if you want to relax.......2007-02-07
This album is very different from his many avant garde efforts in that its all acoustic and all just him on his guitar. There very relaxing songs but, i honestly still love it. The only thing i dont like about it is the second song is way too repetitive, of course most of the album is that way but thats just too much, 11 minutes! But i have no other pet peaves, great music.
Colma Lite.......2006-12-30
Any Bucket fan would rate this record as a break-off of his normal shred-o-matic style; noting that most shred-speed players of his caliber (or at least try), could never reach inside back far enough to have the soulful compassion of a ballad-style solo in any way like Buckethead does on Colma and this record.... and any of his other cross platform achievements.
This record just shows us fans that the Chicken Coop is never rested, and never without suprises.
Like Colma, but without the percussion....
"Colma Lite" .."full-filling, tastes great.."
Dreamlike Guitar Voyage .......2006-12-04
Aaah, Buckethead. The man, the bucket, the mask, the myth. I was first introduced to Buckethead with the classic album "Monsters and Robots", which showcases his infamous and bizarrely schizophrenic style of instrumental guitar wizardry. "Electric Tears", however, shows a meditative, melodic and serene side of the man that was not only unexpected, but extremely enjoyable.
Like floating through a delerious state of near-sleep, this album will send your mind on a surreal inner journey. No percussion, no other instruments of any sort; just layer upon layer of acoustic and electric guitar that will overwhelm you in a wash of melody and texture. Neo-futuristic new age music unlike anything else I've heard. Recommended.
Nice Ambient Music.......2006-11-05
Wonderful guitar. Ambient. Lovely. It's another genre that Buckethead has completely mastered.
Amazing!.......2006-11-05
There is simply one word to describe this cd. Incredible!! Buckethead clearly put alot of thought and emotions into this masterpiece. If your the kind of person that likes thought-provoking music, look no further than this gem. Another great work of art from Buckethead.
