Not too good..........2007-03-01

I'm bemused as to why almost everyone put a good review on this CD. Cristina's vocals are probably the worst I've heard in any other LC album. Most of the time it just sounds like she wants to get the damn CD over with. The lyrics are ridiculous in some spots, such as when Cristina sings the line "I'm a loser" five monontonous times. And the overall album doesn't vary much at all. All the songs sound alike. This album let me down.

Lacuna Coil ~ Unleashed Memories is as it says "Unleashed". The vocals are Unleashed. Extreamly strong instrumentals and lyrics like no other!!

Light Bringer.......2006-07-28

I love it! It's a little gloomy or should I say sadder than Comalies & Karmacode, but it's still great.It has this sort of doomed and betrayed feeling to it but in a good way not an evil way like most of the metal bands these days. I would recommend it.

The Best One I've Got So Far!.......2006-07-24

This was my first Lacuna cd that I got and still is my favorite of their's. I know that there is better goth metal out there such as Virgin Black and Saviour Machine, but this is pretty good too. This album contains Unleashed Memories and the minidisc Halflife. I love the majority of the songs on this set. Some songs are better than others but none of them are bad. People complain about the male singer's voice a lot but I think it's not half bad; he uses a gruffy type of singing style and an occassional black metal growl. The music is all good too. Love the somewhat depressed atmospere here. There is even a few power metal parts in here (not the vocals but the guitars). Cristina's voice, I think, is the highlite of this cd as with their other cds. This band gets compared a lot to Evanescence but Lacuna has been around longer and just flat out kicks Evanescence's butt. If you are into goth metal or like Lacuna, than get this. Good stuff here.

How about perfection???.......2006-07-01

All I can say is WOW...Cristina Scabbia's voice is simply stunning. She is even better live but alas we all can't experience that. Pick this one up and the others too! You wont regret it ;)
