Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars one of the finest.......2007-03-02

this is hands down one of the best thrash metal albums ever made.

5 out of 5 stars Megadeth's finest hour........2007-02-04

Peace Sells is an amazing album by Megadeth, it's their second album and was a landmark during its release in 1986. Peace sells is certainly one of the definitive thrash metal albums along with Metallica's Master Of Puppets and Slayer's Reign In Blood and was highly influential to other bands, the total aggressivenes and Dave Mustain's snarling voice helped establish Megadeth as one of the top heavy metal bands of all time so you could see how important this album is.

The first song Wake up dead is one of my favorites as both guitarists Chris Poland and Dave Mustain start shredding while the song starts changing halfway through and becomes more intense, Conjuring then continues and this song kicks a** then you have the classic song Peace sells which starts of with its memorable basslines from Dave Ellefson if you haven't heard this song yet then you've probably been living under a rock for the past 20 years, Devil's island is another favorite track of mine this song has nice chugging riffs as the band starts chanting DEVIL'S ISLAND just fantastic.

Good mourning/black friday is like two songs in one its about witchcraft and the dark arts or something like that in which the album continues this theme along with a bit of politics, Bad omen is what the song title says which is great then theres I ain't superstitious which is a cover song not bad but not the best from this album and then it finishes of with the brilliant My last words. The bonus tracks just weren't that interesting since they were just remixes, anyway Peace Sells...But Who's Buying was the foundation of this bands legacy and one of the best thrash metal albums of all time so I highly recommend this.

2 out of 5 stars Who's Buying?.......2007-01-18

You should be! This is a great album in all respects. Megadeth have always been at the masters of metal. And they still are! This is just one of their many priceless albums. Get it!!! Up the Horns!!!!!

5 out of 5 stars One of the best metal albums of all time!!!.......2006-11-01

This is definetely one of the best metal albums of all time and should be on anyone's top ten list of all time. Megadeth has not produced a CD of this greatness before or since. Don't interpret this as not liking their other stuff. But this is the first one I pull out to listen to in its entirety. The guitar playing and Dave Mustaine's growling voice just don't get any better. My ultimate favorite songs are "The Conjuring" and "Bad Omen".

Even the cover art is awesome and puts forward the premise of "Peace Sells...But Who's Buying". This one along with Metallica's "And justice for All" sums up the state of today's world.

If you're a metal head, this CD is a must buy!!!

5 out of 5 stars Their best work.......2006-10-24

Although still rough-around-the-edges, "Peace Sells" is their best album ever (Black Friday is my personal favorite). This is one of the classic Speed-Metal albums that every metal-head should have. While still in Metallica's shadow ("Peace Sells" is no "Master of Puppets"), Megadeth is a Metal gaint in their own right.
