LMFAO.......2007-02-27

First they started out as nu-metal, then they moved onto metalcore, and now psuedo-death metal. It should be no surprise to the fools who listen to this garbage that they are clearly following trends, and after each trend dies, they just move on to another one. If my calculations are correct, expect a psuedo-black metal release.

But, what about the musicians? Sure, they have a fast drummer...who likes to trigger alot, then they have two guitarists...who like to steal Pantera riffs, and then they have the singer, who, well, sounds just like all the rest. Atleast they dont have the DJ anymore (oh wait, they do, nevermind.)

Enough of my rambling, how does this untalented group of posers fair up? Well, image if Mushroomhead went metalcore. 'Nuff said.

Giants of Metal Brilliance!.......2007-02-01

While I am partial to bands like Lamb of God and Demon Hunter I will admit that the first band to turn me on to this breed of heavy metal music was Chimaira. When I first heard `Pass Out of Existence' I was floored at the brazen brutality and the musical diversity this band possessed, and here, with their third studio effort they don't let up but instead turn up the heat and create yet another fantastic album. With brilliant savagery they pull through tracks like the opener `Nothing Remains' and `Comatose' yet with a delicate manner they bring new depth and light to tracks like my personal favorite `Salvation' and the tragic closer `Lazarus' which deals with the suicide of a friend. Musically they are one of the more talented bands out there, and lyrically they shine especially on this album. For any fan of the two bands I mentioned on the outset, Chimaira is pure adrenaline for the adrenaline junkie...you know who you are!

Arguably the best Metal album in years . . ........2007-01-07

I am with out a doubt a harcore "Metal-head." However, pleasing my taste can be tough. When I heard this band, I only heard the song Nothing Remains, and I loved it, so I bought the album. I can honestly tell you, this album cannot get old. The power, just amazing power and talent in this album is jaw dropping. Sir Kevin Talley, has AMAZING speed on the Double Bass in especially " Everything You Love" Im serious when I say, if they or anyone can top this album, it will be phenomenal. Plus, I know ALOT of you will LOVE TO HEAR THIS, that Im sure alot of you reading this buy albums, and half, if even that is great. Well, im the same way, until I bought this album, WHOLE NEW respect for Chimaira. Thank you Mark Hunter for the deep, passionate, yet forceful memorable lyrics . .

NOOOTHING REMAINS!!.......2006-11-29

This album was amazing! With Mark's extremely angry screaming, and amazing guitar solo's. "Nothing Remains", "Inside the Horror", and "Save Ourselves" were the best tracks in this album, in my opinion. "Pray For All" started off really good, but the ending really sucked! I hope Chimaira's next album "Resurrection" would be better!

Garbage.......2006-09-28

Garbage metal - music for the American mainstream to feed on. I saw them open for Slayer about 4-5 years back, and they had about 5 guys on stage doing nothing except JUMPING UP AND DOWN. How pathetic !

Pick up some real metal.... like old Kreator.
